TÜRK-AY Member Constitutional Courts Meet in Baku

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a programme was organised in Baku on 3-6 July 2023.

The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Zühtü Arslan, who is also the term President of the TÜRK-AY, participated in the programme.

A meeting of the Constitutional Courts that are members of the TÜRK-AY was held on 4 July 2023 as part of the programme of the International Conference on “Progression of Legislation through Application of Constitutional Norms”.

Chairing the meeting, Mr. Zühtü Arslan stated that the working meeting held within the framework of the International Conference had made an enormous contribution to the exchange of ideas among the member constitutional courts of the TÜRK-AY.

During the meeting, the Presidents of the member constitutional courts emphasised that the Constitutional Courts of the Turkic States, which share a common language, common culture and values, should act together.

The Presidents stressed the importance of continuing such events organised by the Constitutional Courts for the social integration of the Member States. They also underlined that the joint activities of these countries, which have many common words in their languages, in solidarity with each other, have positive results in the field of constitutional justice.
